SCHOOL OF MINISTRIES 2008: KENYA ”“ EAST AFRICA
The school of ministries here in Kenya continues to endevour to equip resourceful church leaders who are not able to go to the regular Bible Schools with Sound, Biblical, Theological and Practical tools for leadership.
The following were the schools taught in 2008.
17th ”“ 19th April 2008 The character of a leader and Prayer were taught in Malindi(Coast Province), 30 delegates attended.
10th ”“ 12th June 2008 The Doctrine of God was taught in Mpeketoni (Coast Province) ,32 delegates attended.
6th ”“ 8th August 2008 Hermeneutics and the School of Contemporary Issues were taught in Ruiru Centre (Nairobi/Central and Eastern Provinces), 35 delegates attended.
20th ”“ 22nd August 2008 Understanding People and Discovering your Ministry were taught in Marafa (Upper and lower Tana Delta) 29 delegates attended.
18th ”“ 20th November 2008 New Testament survey and the Doctrine of God were taught in Webuye Town (Western/Rift Valley Provinces) 20 delegates attended.
The total number of schools held were 5
The total number of delegates were 146. 6 Provinces out of 8 Provinces were covered that comprise Kenya.
The Kenyan teachers were: Peter Chege, Anne Chege, Meleckson Dalano, John Ondeche, Reuben Soso, Leonard Wafula, Vincent Adema and Peter Mutua. All the teachers were trained by Peter Butt for School of Ministries.
The U. K. visiting teachers who taught in the Malindi school and Ruiru Centre were: - Peter & Irene Butt, Ben Davies and Richard Atkinson.
We are grateful to Peter Butt and Clive Beckenham who have faithfully co-ordinated and ensured that teachers, finances and teaching material are available from both U.K. and U.S.A.
We anticipate in the near future to have 3 more schools: Dar ”“ es ”“ Salaam (Tanzania), Kitui (Eastern Province ”“ Kenya) and in the sprawling Kibera slums in Nairobi.
