The third Barnabas School of Ministry in Kisumu was held from 19th to 21st August, where SOM works in partnership with Barnabas Ministries Africa.  This was attended by 24 leaders and aspiring leaders from the Kisumu area, including 9 who were completely new to SOM, 8 who had attended both previous schools and 7 who had attended one of the previous schools.

This year the teachers were Jeremy Sisley from the UK who covered ‘The Doctrine of Man’, and Leonard Wafula from Webuye in Western Kenya, who covered ‘Leading Small Groups’. As the sessions progressed it was evident that all were thinking about the implications of the material, especially those aspects of the teaching relating to the roles of men and women.

At the end certificates were presented to those who had successfully completed the previous school in 2012. As before the School was held in the Agape Children’s Ministry centre where the team that supported the SOM did so with a wonderful servant heart.
