The Kiswahili class of School of Ministries (SOM) has been established in the region of Tana River County and Lamu County for the last seven (7) years, and it has touched, equipped, and encouraged many leaders who have never gone to any Bible School.  The Church is daily growing stronger.  The SOM class mainly targets leaders who have been called and are in the ministry.

This term, the topic was “Discovering Your Ministry: Part 1”.  Many of the leaders who attended were helped to identify their ministries.  This is a great blessing, because churches are often experiencing chaos, strife and fighting if leaders do not know, or have not identified, their ministries.  Once they do, they are able to serve better in the Body of Christ.

About 25 leaders attended this particular school and they returned to their churches and communities refreshed and better equipped.  The leaders were afforded good time to ask questions about areas that concerned them and also to share the daily challenges they face.

We are very thankful to the Lord for this school.  His church in this region has been strengthened and is moving forward in the great task of sending forth the Gospel to the unreached people groups, utilizing many different strategies.  In this region, there are eighteen (18) tribes that we set out to reach with the Gospel.  We thank God that thirteen (13) have already been reached, but five (5) still remain to be reached.

“And this Gospel shall be preached to all… and then the end shall come.”  Amen.
