Graham and Di Bower have just returned from two weeks in Ghana. Here is their report.

Our first week in Ghana was an exciting journey to the far northeast of the country with our SOM Coordinator Andrew Lendor, to start a new SOM centre in Wa, the regional town for what is largely a Muslim area. This area is being targeted for new church plants by a number of denominations, and many churches are led by part time pastors who have had no real training. And so the SOM programme was welcomed and greatly appreciated by the 35 who attended and many more want to come next time. We are sure this will become a very fruitful SOM centre in the coming years.

It was encouraging to hear of 47 Muslims openly turning to Christ in the last few months, and others attending mid-day prayer meetings covertly. One Muslim man had been crippled for two years, unable to even stand. After burning the charms given to him by local "healers" and being prayed for, he is now riding his bike to church!

Our second week was back in Kumasi where, over the last three years, we have been establishing a SOM Hub Centre  for the whole of Ghana. We we had a great week with leaders from a number of different churches.  Diane taught The Person and Work of Christ and Graham taught The Second Coming. Ps Dontah, one of our SOM team there, said "SOM has blessed and changed my ministry. In fact it has blessed the whole of Kumasi".

The Kumasi SOM team have a vision to take SOM to all 10 regions of Ghana, and we had a serious request from a local Bible School for them to partner with us and use our material. We are just praying for the resources to make all this happen.
